Are we a fit?

One of the most important factors in having successful relationships with our clients is working with the right people. While our services can provide outstanding value for many, many people, we are not a good fit for everyone. Based on our most successful relationships, we have found that we provide the most value to clients who:

  • Are open to a mutually beneficial and enjoyable long-term relationship
  • Understand the importance of a fulfilling and balanced life
  • Understand that long term financial success does not involve picking “hot” investments or timing the market
  • Not only want competent and objective advice, but who also want someone to hear them and provide advice that is truly geared toward their life
  • Recognize the value of professional services that can have a significant positive impact on their lives

While most financial advisors have investment minimums, we prefer to work with “Middle Americans” who want the peace of mind that they are working with a competent advisor that will help them do the right things with their hard-earned money.

Conversely, there are several groups of people that are not a good fit with our services. These include individuals or couples:

  • With significant debt problems that would be better served by a credit counseling agency or bankruptcy attorney
  • With sizable estates that require complicated estate planning assistance (we recommend that you work with a larger NAPFA firm)
  • Individuals that are unpleasant to work with (you know who you are – we recommend that you work with a commission broker)
